Geographic Identifiers

The geographic data includes the sample city where the focal child was born, mother's and father's state of residence at each interview for baseline to Year 9, the primary caregiver’s state of residence at Year 15, and strata and psu variables.  Baseline city and state of residence are coded numerically as noted in this documentation.

Please note: The city is only included at the time of the child's birth (Baseline wave). Cities for follow-up waves are not included.
